Quite a few people have asked me to teach them how to tie a head wrap. I would show them right there in the moment, and then they would say I should make YouTube tutorials on it.
I would laugh it off all the time, for one reason or another. But there’s never a better time than now, right?
So here it goes, I’ve done it – for both you and me(on the opposite side of doubt and saying there are already enough YouTube tutorials out there for people to search and watch). Let this be encouragement for you, too – the world wants what you have. You won’t reach everyone, but you will reach someone, and THAT is all that matters. Someone needs to hear directly from you.
Here’s my infamous go to head wrap … dare I say my Erykah Badu inspired style as my mother likes to call it. You can achieve this look even if you have a low/short haircut – I know because I have a short tapered cut under these crochets and tie my head wrap with it all the time. I hope you enjoy this video. I will be trying to do more tutorials for you on Tutorial Tuesdays (TuTus, as I will call them).
What would you like to see more of? Comment below and let me know.
I’m wearing a super comfortable Ankara shift dress here sewn by The House of Faye. The jacket I have on is from H&M, which I purchased in a Paris store when I was living there years ago. It has literally withstood the test of time. These chill booties are by Michael by Michael Shannon from Off Broadway Shoes feel like I am walking on clouds – there’s literally a spring in every step.
