“A style does not go out of style as long as it adapts itself to its period. When there is an incompatibility between the style and a certain state of mind, it is never the style that triumphs.” -Coco Chanel
This dress was inspired by my cousin [African cousin…we all know what that means, lol], pictured below. Her dress was ssooo funky (she had the thick exposed fashion zipper on the front of her dress and the two top flaps could be folded over) …I had to get one made for myself.
To make it more me, my dress is sans the zipper, with a sheer sweetheart neckline.
Material: Bridal satin; silk organza (sheer material); java ankara
These two pictures are simply to show you all the BIG pockets (yes, they are functional…I used them all night! =).
Excuse my facial in the above pic, haha.
I love the grungy background.
Everyone who knows me knows I am a big fan of DIY projects. I swiped up the scrap material from my seamstress’ floor. So, I whipped up this little clutch here in 56 minutes right before I left for the party. I do not know where the energy came from considering I was so tired.
Anywhoot…do you like? If yes-or you think you do but are not 100% sure- stay tuned for next week’s post (-;
Have a fabulous weekend, lovelies. xxx
