Get Fired Up!

This past weekend, a friend from high school passed away. Though it breaks my heart, the details of how he died are not of utmost importance. I've been trying to piece together my thoughts of him...the hilarious moments we shared in and out class, the days we promised we'd fight if the other didn't stop getting on our nerves...but what has been on my heart above all is wondering [and praying] if he was saved.

Now I know we are all sinners, as we are born into it regardless of who we are, what titles we have, how much money, etc. But I also know that Jesus Christ died for each and everyone of us so that our sins may be forgiven. Our main goal on earth is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus, and as God-fearing Christians there is comfort in knowing that in death, we know that we will continue to live [so long as we live as God says we should].

Here, another high school classmate and friend-Tayo- urges each of us to get Fired Up for God, so that we all- including our parents, siblings, friends, co-workers, etc.- may have eternal life.

However, the hardship does not end there. Ivory Coast must begin to rebuild its country economically, spiritually, and internationally, after recent experiences tore apart what the country shaped after its 2002 civil war.

Beese's Favorite Things: Turbanista

One of the hottest trends you will most definitely see everywhere this summer is the different variations of head wraps (turbans to be specific). Here is a great example on Sade. This is an absolute love!

PS...I must say:

Have a fabulous weekend everyone. xx

Throw It In the Bag

Remember packing your lunch when you were younger in a paper bag? That was in the inspiration for these pants.

The picture above is the effect you get when you squeeze the bag, clenching it in one hand, and separating the top with the other hand.

Of course I had to add pockets (=
